We hadn't originally planned our trip to end up in Telegraph Cove, but BC throws you rain, and you change your plans.
Once getting off the ferry from nanaimo, we found a place to set camp from the help of some locals, made a cozy wee fire and cooked dinner.
oh by locals, I meant the employees at the liquor store :).
Quaint indeed.
So the reason we made our trip north was because we were flipping through some brochures in the car and there was a page that pointed out kayaking with the orcas was rated #2 on lonelyplanet (Canada). They come as pods to feed on our salmon.
Excited, we called with our inquiries, but they told us it was a 50/50 chance we'd get to see them considering we only had the time for a day trip.
Sure enough we did not end up seeing them.
However, we did see porpoises (similar to dolphins I'd say), a black bear, eagles, and a seal family.
Look how beautiful that water is!
It really is Beautiful British Columbia
