Vegan Roasted Potatos

I've been trying to do my best to avoid prepackaged foods, including chips. This really kills me, I am very much an addict of those delicious crunchy things. So lately my alternative has been making my own comfort food. Adding nutritional yeast makes everything more savoury, I love it.

A tip I have for roasting potatoes is to microwave them before seasoning and baking. This way the potatoes have less moisture going into the oven which makes the end result crispier!

Kangaroos

Hands down the most fun experience I've had with any animal. Probably has something to do with my fascination for these particular furry beings.  They made me laugh, as though they were telling funny jokes, surrounding me and waiting for the grub in my hand. Beautiful aren't they?

Australian Vegetation

Apart from the accents, what really makes me feel or be very aware that I'm in a foreign place is the trees. I love trees, and I've always appreciated our evergreens in Vancouver, but eucalyptus trees here make me feel just as warm. I love how they spread their branches in every which way - a mind of their own, like me.

Wallaby Way

Ever since I can remember, during my early school years, my choice of projects always had to do with Australia.  Whether it were a country I had to choose, or I'd pick an Australian species if it were an animal project. My fascination of this country left me as I grew up, but I guess it was somewhat always there, clearly seeing that I'm now here feeding wallabies haha.

I want to take one home with me.

Koala Bears

Aren't they the darn cutest things. Apparently they sleep twenty hours a day and eat during the remaining four. Their diet consists of only eucalyptus leaves, nothing else, not even water. Which is probably why they sleep so much. Some interesting facts eh?

It was really neat to see them in their natural habitat.

Loch Ard Gorge

The Loch Ard Gorge is well known for the story of two survivors that made over many that died in the shipwreck of the Loch Ard.

Absolute stunning view.

The last photograph is the view looking outwards from the cave in the right hand corner.

The Twelve Apostles

Visiting The Twelve Apostles was incredible. Definitely see why it is one of those bucket list items when visiting southern Australia. Pictures don't do this site justice. The colour of the water and just the greatness of it all put me in awe.

Hope you enjoy the photographs, and make sure to take the time to do the Great Ocean Road if you ever get the chance!

Eureka Skydeck 88 Melbourne

The Eureka Skydeck was stunning. I love how Melbourne has the ocean right by the city. Similar to home.

I will be making my way back here for the night city lights.

I am starting to become a better tourist, plenty of photographs on the way!
